Step-by-step itinerary
Private interactive apiary tour
- Meet personal guide in Bucharest
- Learn about bee behavior
- Watch beehive harvesting demonstration
- Enjoy traditional Romanian lunch
- Taste honeybee products for dessert
The Experience
Eight to nine hours at a working apiary outside Bucharest, with your own guide and private transport. The day starts with a beekeeping lesson focused on bee behavior and how a colony functions, then moves into a hands-on demonstration of the harvesting process so you see how honey actually gets from the hive to the jar. A licensed English-speaking guide walks you through each step, explaining what you're watching and what the bees are doing.
Lunch happens at the beekeeper's property—traditional Romanian food and drinks sourced locally, eaten in the quiet of the woods and meadows around the apiary. After the meal, you taste the honey products: the direct payoff of everything you've just learned about how bees work and what they produce. Weather permitting, all of this unfolds outdoors among the hives.
Your own car and driver are included for the full day, so pickup from your Bucharest hotel is arranged and you don't navigate the route yourself. All fees, taxes, fuel and tolls are covered in the price.
