The experience

Ludovic drives the east side of Reunion and knows which paths lead where. He speaks English and French, and he can tell you the history of the places you stop, not just the names but why they matter. The tour runs seven to eight hours and covers five main sites: Niagara Falls, Hell-Bourg, Bridal Veil, Grand Ilet, and the Mat les Hauts River. Each stop gets 15 to 20 minutes, enough to walk to a waterfall or look out over the cirque without rushing.

The vehicle is air-conditioned and equipped with WiFi. Bottled water is on board. If the Salazie road closes due to landslides (which happens in the rainy season), Ludovic reroutes to La Plaine Des Palmistes instead, visiting Biberon Waterfall, Col de Bellevue, and the Mare à Boue viewpoint overlooking Piton des Neiges. Either way, you see the mountains and waterfalls the east is known for.

Bring your own towel and a change of clothes if you want to swim at any of the waterfalls. Pickup is included. You'll be collected from your accommodation and returned at the end of the day.

What’s included
