The experience

Your safari captain picks you up from your Doha hotel or a location you choose and drives you into the desert in an air-conditioned vehicle. Once the dunes start, the real driving begins: the guide takes the vehicle over the sand at angles that make the horizon tilt, slowing and speeding through the ridges so you feel the full pitch and roll. You stop at the Inland Sea, the water border between Saudi Arabia and Qatar, to take photographs and watch the light change across the water.

Dinner happens at a 5-star camp set up in the desert. The meal is included, along with bottled water, coffee and tea throughout the day. If you book the afternoon departure, you'll time the dune section to catch the sunset from the Inland Sea before heading to camp. Optional activities (camel riding, quad biking, falcon handling, sandboarding) can be added at booking if you want them. The guide will arrange them during the drive.

The full outing runs 7 hours from pickup to drop-off. Your captain returns you to your hotel or your chosen location in Doha when the day ends.
