The experience

The class starts with a briefing and gear fitting on land, so you understand how the equipment works before entering the water. You then move into shallow water to practice the basic skills (breathing underwater, managing buoyancy, clearing your mask) at your own pace with an instructor watching. This gradual progression means you're never rushed, and the small group size means the instructor can focus on your comfort and confidence.

Once you're comfortable in the shallows, you move deeper to explore the underwater world. The whole experience runs two hours, which gives you time to learn without exhaustion. Certified instructors lead the class in English or Spanish, and they're trained to work with divers at every level, from complete beginners to those with some experience.

What’s included

  • Scuba equipment including tank, regulator, wetsuit and mask.
  • instruction from a certified guide in English or Spanish.
  • small-group class with personalized attention.
