The experience
The day starts with pickup from your location and heads into El Yunque National Forest, where the guide takes the group on lush jungle trails to reach river pools and waterfalls. You swim in the natural water, then move through rope swing areas and a natural rock water slide. Cliff jumps are optional. You decide whether to take them. Life vests are provided, so no swimming experience is required. Fresh-cut seasonal fruit and water wait for you by the river to refuel between activities.
Small groups keep the pace relaxed and the guide focused. The guide is a licensed local who speaks English or Spanish, depending on your option, and photographs the day so you leave with the images. Everything moves at a pace that fits the group, and the whole rainforest section runs 6 to 7 hours from pickup to drop-off. After the forest, you have the choice to stop at Luquillo Beach for up to 1–2 hours on your own (grab lunch, swim or just sit by the ocean), or head straight back.
Two booking options exist: Worry-Free Experience includes round-trip pickup from your hotel or location, while Meet-Up/Follow Me means you arrive at the forest entrance on your own. Both cover entry fees, the guide, life vests, fruit and photos. Gratuities are optional and available during the beach stop if you choose it. Children from age 3 are welcome.
Is this one for you?The Worry-Free Experience includes pickup from your hotel or location, so you don't arrange transport to the forest. Choose Meet-Up/Follow Me if you have your own way to reach the entrance and want to save on that cost.
