The experience

As you sail toward the river mouth, you pass Gaia on the opposite bank, where the Port wine cellars sit, and then São Pedro da Afurada, a working fishermen's village. The high point of the cruise is the Foz do Porto. The mouth where the Douro meets the Atlantic.
