The afternoon starts on foot in Alfama, the oldest neighborhood, where the guide takes you through narrow streets that climb steeply toward São Jorge Castle. You'll pass the Portas do Sol viewpoint, where the city spreads below you in terracotta rooftops and river light, and stop at the Lisbon Cathedral, which survived the 1755 earthquake. The walking part covers maybe three kilometers over uneven cobblestones — it's not casual, but the guide paces it so you're not rushed.

Then the car takes over. After the castle, instead of walking back down those hills, you're driven to Belém, where the real historical weight sits.
