Private Warsaw Ghetto Tour: 2–5 hours with guide
Choose your depth: two hours through the ghetto, or extend to the cemetery and museum
A private walking tour of the Warsaw Ghetto with a licensed guide fluent in your language, running 2 to 5 hours depending on which sites you add. The 2-hour core tour covers the ghetto's boundary markers, the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes, the Anielewicz Mound at Mila 18, and the Umschlagplatz; the 3-hour option adds the Jewish Cemetery (established 1809, holding over 200,000 graves); the 5-hour option includes skip-the-line entry to the POLIN Museum. Public transport tickets are provided to reach sites outside the city center. Pickup from Old Town accommodation is included; the guide adjusts pace to your group's fitness level.

The Experience
You meet your guide at the Field Cathedral on Długa Street and walk into the former Warsaw Ghetto, where over 400,000 Jews from Warsaw and surrounding areas were imprisoned in Europe's largest ghetto during World War II. The guide walks you through what happened—the hunger, disease and death, but also the resistance and rebellion—pointing out the ghetto boundary markers still visible on the streets, the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes commemorating the 1943 uprising, and the Anielewicz Mound at Mila 18, a hidden shelter of a Jewish resistance group. The tour ends at the Umschlagplatz Monument, marking where Jews were transported to Treblinka Concentration Camp.
If you book the 3-hour option, you'll travel by public transport (tickets provided) to the old Jewish Cemetery in Moranów, established in 1809 and one of Europe's largest. The guide shows you graves of spiritual leaders, political activists and creators of Jewish culture, alongside thousands of nameless victims of World War II. The 5-hour option adds the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews—skip-the-line tickets let you bypass the ticket office and go straight to the permanent collection, which traces Jewish history, culture and heritage before, during and after the war.
This is a moderate walking tour covering 2.5 to 3.5 km with some uneven surfaces and steps; the guide adapts the pace to your group. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather—the tour runs rain or shine. Groups stay small (up to 25 per guide), and your guide speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French or one of three other languages, depending on which option you select.
