The experience
You arrive at your meeting point in Torun's Old Town, a UNESCO-listed medieval city that survived the wars intact and ranks as high as Cracow or Gdansk. Your private guide meets you and leads you to the first venue. A restaurant where you'll sit down to a full set of traditional Polish dishes: appetizers, dumplings, meat specialties, a main course and dessert, plus water and either coffee or tea. The portions are generous. The Polish golden rule is to serve enough food to make a table collapse, so eat a light breakfast and skip lunch if you want to try everything.
From there you move to a patisserie for cake and coffee or tea, then walk through the Old Town with your guide pointing out the landmarks: St. Mary's Church with its tall colored windows, the Town Hall and its tower with views across the whole city, the Leaning Tower built in the 13th century as part of the medieval defense system, and the remains of the Teutonic Castle where you can feel the weight of medieval times. The standard 3.5-hour option includes a third venue with its own atmosphere. The premium 5-hour version adds a fourth stop where you taste either eight beers or ten vodkas (you choose in advance) alongside more traditional specialties. All three options end with the same guided walk through the Old Town highlights.
The tour is private, so the pace and stops are yours alone. Your guide is licensed and knowledgeable, and the operator asks you to let them know in advance of any food allergies or dietary preferences: vegetarian options are available, and any unavailable dish gets replaced with another traditional one. Arrive on time to enjoy the full program. The guide waits up to 30 minutes if you're delayed. The trip runs regardless of weather.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, German and Polish.
Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Infant (under 7): free.
What's the difference between the three tour options?
The budget 2.5-hour option visits a restaurant and patisserie for two tastings plus a basic Old Town walk. The standard 3.5-hour option, the most commonly chosen, includes three carefully chosen venues with different atmospheres and a guided tour of the Old Town highlights. The premium 5-hour option adds a fourth stop for beer or vodka tastings, you choose which one, and a longer sightseeing walk through the medieval city.
How much food will I actually eat on this tour?
Each venue serves a full traditional meal or tasting, so you'll have more food than you can finish. The restaurant alone includes appetizers, dumplings, meat specialties, soup, a main course and dessert. Plan to eat lightly before the tour and pace yourself across the stops.
What does the Old Town walk include?
The guide shows you the Town Hall and its tower, St. Mary's Church with its distinctive tall colored windows, the 13th-century Leaning Tower, the remains of the Teutonic Castle, and other medieval landmarks scattered through the pedestrian streets. The walk is part of every option, though the premium 5-hour version covers more ground.
What if I'm vegetarian or have food allergies?
Tell the operator in advance of any dietary needs or allergies. Vegetarian options are available, and if any dish on the menu isn't available, it will be replaced with another traditional Polish specialty.
Is this tour accessible for people with mobility concerns?
Yes. All areas and surfaces in the venues and the Old Town are wheelchair accessible, and transportation options are wheelchair accessible as well. Infants can ride in a pram or stroller, and small children can sit on an adult's lap.
