The experience
The tour begins with Segway training at Zakrzowek, where you learn to turn and stop before the route proper starts. Once you're steady, the guide takes you through the Old Town's main landmarks: the Main Market Square with its cloth hall and St. Mary's Basilica (famous for towers of different heights), the Royal Way that connects the city's historic sites, and Wawel Royal Castle, where you'll hear about Poland's kings and queens. The ride covers ground a walking tour would take twice as long, so you see more without the exhaustion.
The route also passes the Great Barbican and St. Florian's Gate (the last remaining fragment of Krakow's medieval wall), and takes you along the Planty Park that rings the Old Town.
