The Experience
The tour starts at Zakrzowek with Segway training: how to turn, how to stop, how to balance on the machine itself. Once you're steady, the guide leads you into Kazimierz, the Jewish Quarter, where you'll hear about the synagogues that still stand and the community that thrived there before the war. The Old Synagogue is the oldest in Krakow; the guide walks you through its history while you're still on the Segway or dismounted nearby. At Plac Nowy—the New Square—you'll stop long enough to see the locals and, if you want, grab zapiekanki, the Polish street food the guide will point out.
From Kazimierz you ride to St. Stanislaus Church on the Rock, a unique structure the guide explains in detail, then cross the Father Bernatek Footbridge and move through Plac Wolnica before heading to Main Market Square. That's where the cloth hall and St. Mary's Church anchor the Old Town, and the guide fills in the local legends and the details of what you're looking at. The whole route is designed so you see as much as possible without the exhaustion of walking it all—the Segway does the work, and you stay fresh enough to actually absorb what the guide is telling you.
Raincoats are provided if the weather turns. Helmets and all Segway gear are included. The guide is a qualified, knowledgeable City of Krakow tour guide, not a casual operator, and the tour runs in your choice of language. If you want the tour entirely to yourself, the private option is available at checkout.

What's the Old Synagogue in Krakow, and why does the guide spend time there?
The Old Synagogue is the oldest synagogue in Krakow and sits in Kazimierz, the Jewish Quarter. The guide tells the story of the thriving Jewish community that worshipped there before the war, so you understand what the building meant and what happened to the people who filled it.
Do I need to know how to ride a Segway before I book?
No. The tour includes training at the start—the guide teaches you how to turn and stop correctly at Zakrzowek before you head into the city, so you'll be comfortable on the machine for the rest of the route.
How long does the whole tour take?
The tour takes around two hours from start to finish, including the Segway training at the beginning and all the stops through the Old Town and Kazimierz.
Can I book this tour in a language other than English?
Yes. At checkout you can choose your guide's language: English, Italian, French, German or Polish. You can also book a private tour if you want the guide to yourself.
What happens at Plac Nowy, and do I have to eat there?
Plac Nowy is the New Square in Kazimierz, where the guide will point out zapiekanki, Poland's popular street food. You're free to try it or skip it—the stop is there so you can see the locals and the square itself, not because food is required.
What's included in the tour, and what do I need to bring?
The tour includes Segway usage, a helmet, training, a local guide, raincoats if needed, and photos. You don't need to bring anything except comfortable clothes and a willingness to ride; the operator provides the rest.
