The Experience
You meet your guide at the "El Beso" sculpture in Parque del Amor and walk the Malecón de Miraflores, the coastal promenade that runs along the Pacific. The guide points out the district's history and modern life while you take in the ocean views and photograph the best spots. A break at Puku Puku Café, a local coffee shop known for high-quality Peruvian beans, gives you a moment to settle before the food part begins.
From there you ride the Metropolitano, Lima's public transport system, into central Lima like a local. The guide leads you through the Central Market and Barrio Chino (Chinatown), stopping to taste what's fresh and in season: ceviche, anticuchos (marinated meat skewers), tropical fruits, traditional snacks, Chaufa rice, Siu Mai (Chinese dumplings), churros, and a final Pisco tasting. Each stop has a story—the guide explains what you're eating and why it matters to Lima's food culture.
The tour ends in central Lima. Your guide can help you arrange return transport by metro or Uber (neither is included), or you can stay and explore the historic center on your own. The whole day runs six to seven hours from start to finish.
