The experience

The tour launches from Isla Colón's Saigon Bay in late afternoon. The kayak and snorkel gear are included, and binoculars are provided so you can spot animals in the canopy and branches.

Once you reach the coral reef, you'll snorkel to explore the reef's complexity up close. If you prefer not to snorkel, you can stay in the kayak and glide over the reef from above instead. The choice is yours. Either way, you're seeing the same reef. After the reef, you'll paddle back through peaceful bays and canals, including a cathedral-like mangrove tunnel. The whole outing takes about 4 hours. Upper body strength is necessary for the kayaking, especially the paddle back, and the operator recommends moderate fitness overall. Bring plenty of water. Your guide brings extra if needed.
