The experience
Turquoise pools sit at the base of Wadi Mibam's cliffs, fed by waterfalls that drop from the surrounding rock. You swim in these pools and walk the wadi trails at your own pace, moving between the water and the lush greenery that lines the canyon floor. The guide points out the landscape and shares local knowledge as you move through the day. Transport is air-conditioned throughout, and the tour runs 7 to 8 hours depending on where your hotel sits and how long you spend in the water.
The Bimmah Sinkhole closes from May through September, so if you're traveling in those months the tour ends at Wadi Mibam itself. When it's open, the sinkhole is a dramatic natural crater filled with turquoise water: a different kind of swimming spot, more confined and theatrical than the wadi pools. It's worth the stop for photos and a quick dip if the season allows it.
Hotel pickup and drop-off are included, as is bottled water throughout the day. A professional guide speaks English or Arabic depending on your preference. If you want to eat, local lunch is available for an additional cost and gives you a chance to taste Omani food in the surroundings. Groups stay small, so the experience feels relaxed rather than crowded.
