The experience

The dhow departs Khasab and heads into the Khor Sham fjord, where dolphins often appear in the quiet water. You'll anchor near Telegraph Island, a historical site surrounded by coral reef and colored fish. This is where you enter the water with your snorkeling gear (the equipment and life jacket are part of the booking), and spend time swimming among the sea life. The reef wall here draws larger marine life, so the underwater view changes throughout the day depending on what's moving through.

Refreshments stay on board: soft drinks, fresh fruit, coffee and tea are available between water time. The guide speaks English and stays with the group throughout. The whole experience runs about three hours from start to finish. Pickup is included, so you don't arrange your own transport to the departure point.
