Control your own flight above the water in sixty minutes

A one-hour guided e-foil session in Muscat where you learn to operate and balance an electric foil board with an instructor's step-by-step coaching. Beginners start on oversized boards designed for stability. Experienced riders can push distance and speed. The boards are powered, so no waves are needed. Just you, the water, and the latest watersport technology.

The experience

What makes this different from most watersports is that you don't need waves, wind or years of practice to get airborne. The e-foil is electric-powered, which means you control the thrust and can focus entirely on balance and technique. Your instructor meets you at the water and walks you through the basics: how to stand, how to shift your weight, how to use the throttle to lift the board's hydrofoil above the surface. Beginners ride oversized Fliteboards built for first-timers, so the board's size and buoyancy do some of the work for you. Kids and heavier riders both have boards that match their needs.

The session runs one hour total. You'll spend the time in the water with your guide, learning to foil in stages rather than all at once. Experienced riders skip the basics and go straight to longer runs and higher speeds. Either way, your instructor stays with you, offering corrections and tips as you find your balance. The pace is yours. There's no race, no waves to chase, just the moment when you feel the board lift and you're actually flying above the water.

You'll have a helmet and a watersport lifejacket the whole time, and your personal belongings stay secure on shore. Bottled water is provided. The location has public transportation nearby, so getting there doesn't require a car rental or a long transfer. Your guide speaks English or Arabic, and the minimum age is fourteen.

Top questions

What languages is the tour guided in?

Live guide in English and Arabic.

What happens if it rains?

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.

Can I try an e-foil if I've never done watersports before?

Yes, the session is built for complete beginners. Your instructor teaches you from the first lesson, and you'll ride an oversized Fliteboard designed specifically for first-timers to make balance easier and the learning curve gentler.

What happens if I'm heavier or taller than average?

The boards come in different sizes, and the bigger Fliteboards are rated for heavier riders and taller people. Your instructor will match you to the right board before you get in the water.

Do I need waves to ride an e-foil?

No, the board is electric-powered, so you create your own thrust and don't depend on wave conditions. You can foil on flat water, which is why this works in Muscat year-round.

What's included in the one-hour session?

Your guide, helmet, lifejacket, storage for your belongings, and bottled water are all included. You bring a valid ID and wear clothes you don't mind getting wet.

Is there a fitness requirement?

You should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness. The session is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, cardiovascular conditions, or if you're pregnant.
