The experience
You start on the board with instruction from a local guide who's paddled Lake Ohrid for years. The first part is the lesson (how to stand, how to stroke, how to balance on clear water), and then you're moving, sliding across the oldest lake in the Balkans toward places most visitors never see. The guide takes you to hidden gems accessible only by water, the kind of coves and shoreline that don't show up on the main tourist routes.
As you paddle, the guide shares what the lake actually is: the history layered into the water, the cultural facts that explain why Ohrid matters. You're not sitting and listening. You're learning while you move, stopping at spots where the story makes sense because you're standing right in front of it. The water is clear enough that you see down, and the view from the board (standing, not sitting) changes what the landscape looks like. Mobile photos and video are included, so you leave with images of yourself on the water and the places you reached.
One hour is the full tour. You get a life jacket, a waterproof bag for your phone, bottled water and snacks. If you want drone footage or underwater Insta360 photos and video, those are available for an extra fee depending on group size. The tour runs in English or Serbian with a guide who knows both the paddling and the place.
