The experience

The tour runs approximately 8 hours and departs at one of four times you select at checkout. A local guide drives a small group in a comfortable vehicle around the Martinborough appellation, starting with a guided walk through an award-winning vineyard where you taste as you go. The route takes in multiple stops along the famous Golden Mile strip of vineyards, each one a cellar door where you taste and hear commentary about Martinborough's place on the world wine map. Lunch is a 2-course meal at a top vineyard restaurant with a glass of wine included.

The day wraps with a tour and tasting at a local olive grove. Round-trip pickup and drop-off are included from your centrally located Martinborough accommodation or the Featherston Railway Station, depending on which option you choose at booking. Coffee and tea are provided. The tour suits all fitness levels and is wheelchair accessible. The minimum drinking age is 18, and a minimum of two people per booking applies.
