The experience

From there, the walk moves through the cultural podium square and into the postwar national monument of Lijnbaan: the midcentury shopping street that set the template for pedestrian retail across Europe. The route then reaches the Timmerhuis, an OMA architecture icon, before arriving at the Markthal, the indoor market designed by MVRDV that has become one of the city's defining landmarks.
