Pokhara bungee jump thrill with Himalayan scenery and river views

You’ll stand high above Pokhara’s valley on Nepal’s first tower bungee jump, watching clouds drift over the Himalayas before free-falling toward the river below. With local guides keeping things light (and safe), you’ll feel every second stretch out — from nervous laughter to that wild drop. Pickup from Lakeside makes it easy; what stays with you is that feeling in your chest long after you land.

  • Experience 70m tower bungee jump
  • Enjoy views of Himalayas and rivers

The Experience

We were already halfway up the tower before I really started thinking about what I’d signed up for. The air smelled faintly of dust and pine, and someone behind me was humming — maybe to keep their nerves in check, or maybe just because it felt like the right thing to do. Our guide, Suman, grinned at us and checked the harnesses again, telling us not to overthink it. That’s easy for him to say. You can see the whole valley from up here — Pokhara’s rooftops in one direction, the white streaks of the Himalayas in another, and then just green hills rolling down to a river that looks way too far below.

I didn’t expect my hands to sweat so much. There was this weird moment where everything went quiet except for a crow calling somewhere nearby, and then Suman counted down in Nepali (I tried repeating after him but probably butchered it). Five seconds of falling feels both forever and no time at all — wind roaring past my ears, stomach somewhere around my throat, legs flailing until the cord caught me and everything snapped back into focus. I remember thinking: well, there goes my fear of heights… maybe.

Afterwards we just sat on the grass for a while — nobody said much at first. My friend kept laughing out of nowhere; I think it was relief more than anything else. The staff brought us water and joked about our faces mid-jump (they’ve seen every expression possible). The whole thing only takes a couple hours from Pokhara Lakeside with pickup included, but somehow it stretches out in your head long after you’re done. Even now when I close my eyes I can feel that first rush — not sure if I’d do it again or if once is enough, you know?
