The Experience
The tour opens with airport pickup and a night in a 3-star Kathmandu hotel. Day two takes you through the old city of Patan, famous for its carved wooden and stone handicrafts, then to Pashupatinath—a sacred Hindu temple on the banks of the Bagmati River—and Boudhanath, a pilgrimage site for Buddhists in the Tibetan quarter known as Little Tibet. The day ends with a hike to Swayambhunath, a hilltop temple overlooking the Kathmandu Valley at sunset.
A six-hour drive south on the Prithvi Highway takes you to Chitwan National Park, where you stay at a safari lodge with air-conditioned rooms and garden grounds. On arrival, locals welcome you with traditional dance and food. The next day begins with early morning bird watching, followed by a safari led by a wildlife expert through dense jungle where you can spot one-horned rhinos, elephants, leopards and—on rare days—the Royal Bengal Tiger. Afternoon activities include boating on the Narayani River, a crocodile walk, elephant bathing and a visit to a local village.
The journey continues to Pokhara, a town backed by the Annapurna and Manaslu peaks. You check into a lakeside hotel on Phewa Lake with mountain views and breakfast included. The final sightseeing day starts before dawn at Sarangkot for sunrise over the Annapurna range and Pokhara Valley, then moves through Davis Falls, two caves—Gupteshwor Mahadev and Mahendra—and the World Peace Pagoda via a short hike. The day ends with an hour of boating on Phewa Lake and time at the Lakeside beaches. On day seven, a tourist bus returns you to Kathmandu, where you can explore Thamel's shops and nightlife before your final night at a 3-star hotel. Airport drop-off happens on day eight.

Is this one for you? Most Nepal tours leave you arranging transport between cities and booking guides separately; this one bundles the bus rides, the guide, and all three hotels so the eight days hold together without piecing together bookings. The jungle activities at Chitwan and the lakeside sunrise at Pokhara are built in, not added on.
