The experience
The tour leaves Kathmandu at 7:00 AM by private vehicle or tourist bus, arriving in Chitwan after a 5–6 hour drive. Upon arrival, you'll have lunch at your lodge, then head out for a guided Tharu village tour to see how the local community lives. Before dinner, you'll visit a sunset viewpoint overlooking the park, followed by a Tharu stick dance performance at the lodge: a lively cultural show that runs after the meal.
Day two is built around three safari activities. After breakfast, you'll canoe along the river, watching for birds and other wildlife, then take a guided jungle walk through the natural landscape. Back at the lodge for lunch, you'll set out on a jeep drive inside the national park itself. Each jeep holds a maximum of 10 people, and the guide will look for rhinos, deer and other animals, with a chance of spotting a tiger if luck is on your side. Day three offers a 4-hour jeep safari deep into the park, with the afternoon left free to rest at the lodge.
On the final morning, you'll be transferred to the bus station at 7:30 AM for the return to Kathmandu, or you can depart later by private car at your own pace. All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are included throughout your stay, as are your three nights in a deluxe air-conditioned room, the national park permit and fees, and the services of your guide.

Is this one for you?Four days is long enough to experience canoeing, jungle walks and multiple jeep safaris without rushing, but short enough to fit into a week-long Nepal trip if you're also spending time in Kathmandu or Pokhara. If you have only two or three days, look at the shorter Chitwan options. If you want a deeper jungle immersion, the 6-day version allows more time in the park.
