You get picked up from your Marrakech hotel or a central meeting point and travel by air-conditioned minibus to Casablanca, roughly an hour away. The driver confirms the exact time the day before. Once you arrive, the guide leads you through the city's landmarks: the Sacred Heart Cathedral, a white Neo-Gothic structure built in 1930 with twin towers and stained-glass windows; United Nations Square, the crossroads between the old medina and modern downtown, ringed by cafes and shops; and the Hassan II Mosque, Morocco's largest and one of the world's seven largest, with tilework and a minaret that overlooks the Atlantic.

After the mosque, you walk the Corniche, Casablanca's palm-lined waterfront promenade, where beachfront restaurants and the ocean views frame the afternoon. You then have time to relax at one of the public beaches along the coast before heading back to Marrakech.
