The road got quieter as we passed tiny roadside stalls selling oranges and mint. There’s this moment when the asphalt turns to dust and you realize you’re really out there. We bumped along coastal tracks in a sturdy 4x4, windows down, wind whipping in with that dry desert smell mixed with sea spray.
