The experience

The route runs south from Casablanca through Rabat and Meknes to Midelt, then east toward Merzouga where you spend a night in a Sahara camp. From there the itinerary turns south through the Tinghir and Dades Valley, passes through Ouarzazate and the clay kasbahs of Ait Benhaddou, and ends in Marrakech before the drive back to Casablanca on the fifth day. A professional driver handles the wheel while a licensed guide who speaks English narrates the route and stops, so you can focus on the landscape and the towns rather than navigation.

Each day includes bottled water, and the guide and driver are with you throughout. The overnight in the Sahara camp is the centerpiece. The other four nights are in hotels. The itinerary is built around five days, which means the major sites fit inside a single week without rushing or backtracking, and you return to Casablanca by evening on day five.
