The experience

Around 2 hours or less of driving each day means the focus stays on the places themselves, not the road. Day one picks you up from Errachidia Airport and moves toward Erfoud, stopping at Ain Maski and Ai Al Atty water sources where locals gather, then the traditional Khadarat irrigation fields and Ziz valley before checking into a hotel for the night. The landscape shifts as you go, and the stops are chosen to show how people actually live in this region.

Day two is the fullest: Rissani's palaces and market open with a chance to taste Madfouna (Berber pizza), then a visit to nomads in Merzouga over tea, and Khmaliyah for Gnaoua music. The traditional sound of the area. After that comes the camel ride into Erg Chebbi's dunes at sunset, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in a luxury tent camp with Saharan music under the stars.

The final morning starts early to catch the sunrise behind the Algerian border. After breakfast back at camp, you head toward your chosen endpoint (Marrakech, Fes or Ouarzazate), with the option to add activities like sandboarding if your flight time allows. The trip ends at your selected destination rather than returning to Errachidia.
