The experience

The trip begins at 5pm with a camel ride across the sand dunes toward your first camp in Erg Chebbi. After an hour on the camel, you arrive at the camp, settle into a private tent with a bathroom and hot shower, then watch the sunset from near the tents. Dinner follows with live Berber music and drums played by the camp team.

The next morning starts with sunrise, then breakfast. A half-day Jeep tour takes you to nomad families behind the dunes and to Khamlia village for Gnawa music and Berber pizza lunch. Back at camp in the afternoon, you can sandboard on the dunes or rest before sunset and a second dinner around the campfire. The final morning brings another sunrise, breakfast, and a camel ride or Jeep ride back to the starting point.

Meals across the two days include two dinners, two breakfasts and one lunch. The camps have electricity to charge phones and free WiFi. A desert scarf is provided for each person, along with water and tea throughout the trip. Your car can stay parked at the camps if you arrived by vehicle.
