The experience

The tour starts with pickup at Casablanca Airport and a 45-minute transfer to the Sheraton Casablanca, where breakfast is included. Day two takes you inland through Rabat and Meknes on the way to Fez, where you'll stay in a traditional riad in the old city. A guided walking tour of Fez's 1,200-year-old medina follows, then you head south across the Middle Atlas Mountains and through palm groves toward the Sahara. On day five, you ride a camel into the dunes, share a meal with local Berber families, and sleep in a luxurious Berber tent with dinner and breakfast included.

From the desert, the route turns west toward Marrakech, passing through the Dades Gorges and stopping at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou on the way across the High Atlas Mountains. In Marrakech, you get a guided walking tour and a full free day to join a cooking class, visit a hammam, or explore on your own. The tour ends with an airport transfer on day ten. Your guide speaks English, Spanish, French or Arabic. Pick your language when you book. All hotels, breakfast, and dinner in the desert and major cities are included. Lunch is on your own.
