The church on the island dates to the 17th century, and inside there's a museum of votive gifts — mostly from captains and sailors who survived storms and long stretches at sea. You walk around Perast's main square, see the Church of St. Nicola's with its 55-meter belfry, and stroll the waterfront for about a kilometer, taking in the architecture from the 1600s and 1700s.
