Thirteen ziplines, four suspension bridges, two kilometers of treetops

Ziplining in Sayulita is a guided canopy activity where you fly through the forest on 13 ziplines and cross 4 suspension bridges along a 2-kilometer route reaching heights of up to 125 meters. The experience lasts around 2 hours, includes transportation from your hotel, water, and a tequila tasting afterward. Guides speak English and Spanish, and children from age 4 are welcome.

The experience

The ziplines themselves are PETZL brand equipment, the same professional-grade gear used in high-altitude operations worldwide. You'll launch from platform to platform through the treetops, with two of the lines running tandem so you can ride alongside another person. The suspension bridges connect some of the higher points, forcing you to walk across open air between launches. The whole route covers 2 kilometers and climbs to 125 meters above the forest floor: high enough that the landscape spreads out below you, low enough that you stay in the canopy rather than soaring above it.

Guides are trained and certified. They'll fit your harness, check your equipment before each line, and manage the pace so the group moves together. Transportation picks you up from your hotel, and the operator provides water throughout. After you're back on solid ground, there's a tequila tasting included: a small ritual to mark the end of the adrenaline part of the day. The whole outing, from pickup to tasting, takes roughly 2 hours, though timing shifts with group size.
