The experience
The activity starts at the beach next to El Paraíso beach club, where staff welcome you and run through safety information before helping you into a life jacket. Once aboard the boat, the crew hands you snorkeling equipment and you head out to the reef. The Mesoamerican Reef here holds vibrant corals, tropical fish and turtles in water clear enough to see them well. You'll spend time at two separate reef points during the outing.
On the return to shore, the boat passes in front of the Mayan Ruins of Tulum so you get a panoramic view of the castle from the water: a sight most visitors only see from the land side. The whole outing runs about 2 hours from start to finish. Shade, tables and chairs are set up on the boat, and fresh water is available.
What’s included
Snorkeling and safety equipment, life jacket, umbrella area with tables and chairs on the boat, and fresh water.

Is this one for you?Small groups work well here since the boat operates from a public beach with a straightforward check-in. Families with children from age 5 up fit the activity, and anyone wanting to see the reef and the ruins from the water in a single outing will find both in one morning.
