The experience
A 35-foot catamaran takes you across the Sea of Cortez toward the Islands of Loreto, where the crew watches for marine life and your guide explains the local wildlife. On the way, you'll learn sailing basics (weather permitting) and get oriented to the boat. Once you reach Loreto Bay National Park, you enter the water with full snorkeling gear to explore the bay's reefs and fish.
Lunch and snacks come on board, followed by music and games as you cruise back to Puerto Escondido marina. An open bar runs throughout the day. If you want to stay on deck, paddleboards are available, and the boat has a restroom on board. The whole experience runs about four hours from start to finish.
Pickup from your hotel or accommodation is included, and the guide speaks English or Spanish. The smaller group size, a maximum of nine passengers, means more space on deck and more personalized attention from the crew than larger tour boats offer.
