A private surf lesson in Puerto Vallarta with pickup and drop-off, equipment provided, and a live guide in English, Spanish or French. You start with beach stretching and safety instruction, then spend 2 hours in the water learning wave selection, positioning and ocean dynamics while the guide helps you catch waves independently. An optional stop at a local seafood restaurant happens on the return.

The experience

The lesson runs about 5 hours total, with pickup at a location you choose and the beach selected based on that day's conditions and your skill level. You'll start on the sand with stretching, technique breakdown and safety instructions before entering the water. The guide stays with you the whole time, positioning you for waves, calling out when to paddle, and walking you through what the ocean is doing: how to read the swell, where to position yourself, which waves to take.

After 2 hours in the water, you'll be catching waves on your own while the guide watches and offers tips. The surfboard and leash come with you. No need to rent separately. On the way back, there's an optional stop at a local seafood restaurant if you want to eat before heading home. Drop-off happens at your preferred location once everything wraps up.
