A private wine and gastronomy tour in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico's largest wine region, with pickup from your accommodation, a local guide in English or Spanish, and a Mercedes van for up to 18 passengers. The itinerary includes two wineries where you taste and order by the glass or bottle, a lunch stop at a restaurant with ten years of regional cooking experience, and a final bar or restaurant with vineyard views. Water, snacks and cooler with ice are provided; winery tastings and meals are separate charges you choose on the day.

The Experience

The day starts with pickup from your accommodation and a drive to the first winery, where you'll taste wines in either the underground cellar or an outdoor area overlooking the vineyard. The tasting menu runs from around $12 USD per person, and you can order by the glass, by the bottle, or pair wines with a cheese board. A local guide answers questions about what you're tasting and handles the timing so nothing feels rushed.

Lunch comes next at a restaurant with a decade of experience cooking regional Baja California food. After eating, you move to a second winery—usually one with a view—where you order more tastings and cheese, and can tour the production room if the winery has availability that day. The final stop is a restaurant or bar with vineyard views, where you eat and drink while the guide manages the route back to your accommodation.

The van is a 2021 Mercedes Benz Sprinter that holds up to 18 passengers, or you can ask about the luxury option for groups up to 12 at no extra cost. The operator has run this tour for more than four years and will customize the wineries or restaurants if you have preferences—just let them know before the day. Minimum age is 18.
