The Experience

The driver picks you up and heads south toward Valle de Guadalupe, about 45 minutes from Ensenada. The valley opens up with vineyards on both sides, and you can already tell this isn't a tourist trap—the architecture is modern and understated, the light is clean, and there's actual quiet. Your guide knows the region and has chosen three wineries based on what you told them you wanted to taste. The first stop is Tres Valles, a boutique winery where the tasting is included in the price, and from there the day unfolds depending on what you're drawn to.

Each winery is different. One might be all concrete and minimalism, another tucked into the hillside with views that make you stop talking for a minute. You taste wines that aren't on every restaurant list back home, and the people pouring them actually know what they're doing—they're not reading from a script. If you want to skip a winery or spend longer at one, you can. If you'd rather taste craft beer instead of wine, or add a second valley, the driver will work with that. The point is flexibility. Groups stay small, capped at 19 people, so you're not herded through with forty others.

Lunch happens on your terms. There's a food truck option if you want something casual and quick, or if you have a restaurant in mind in the valley or back in Ensenada, you can go there instead. The driver handles the reservations and the route. You get bottled water and snacks throughout the day, so you're not thirsty between stops. The whole thing is private transport—it's just your group and the driver, no shared van, no set itinerary you have to follow exactly. If someone in your party speaks only Spanish, two of the drivers are Spanish-only; three speak English. Confirm the language when you book.

The day wraps when you're ready to head back. Most people spend four to five hours in the valley, though you can stretch it or cut it short. Only people 18 and over can do the tastings, but minors can come along and eat lunch while you're tasting.

What’s included

  • Your day includes private transportation throughout Valle de Guadalupe, the first wine tasting at Tres Valles (a boutique winery), bottled water and snacks, and the driver's knowledge of the region and winery reservations.
  • Lunch is your choice—either a casual food truck or a restaurant—and can be arranged separately.
  • English-speaking drivers are available; confirm when you book.
