The experience
You arrive at the meeting point on the beach where your guide greets you and walks you to Los Muertos Beach Pier. An instructor gives you a safety briefing covering everything you need to know, then fits you with a harness and life jacket. From the shore, the panga tows you smoothly into the air (no running start, no jump), and you rise as the boat moves along the coastline.
The flight lasts about 10 minutes. From that height you see Isla de los Venados, Isla de los Pájaros and Isla de Lobos passing below, and the curve of Mazatlan's Pacific shoreline stretching out. You can bring a camera or phone to capture photos while you're floating. Because your group is private, the boat carries only the people you came with, so the attention stays on you.
The instructor handles the tow and the descent. You experience the view. When the panga brings you back to the pier, the whole outing, from briefing to landing, takes about 15 minutes on the water.

Is this one for you?The panga departs from Los Muertos Beach Pier, so you don't need a car or a separate ride to the launch point: walk straight from the beach to the pier. This works well if you're staying nearby or using public transit to reach the coast.
