The experience
What does it feel like to see Cancun from 260 feet in the air? The parasailing flight answers that. You're towed behind a boat, harnessed and lifted high enough to take in the Hotel Zone, Isla Mujeres and Nichupté Lagoon all at once. The view is the point here. The ride itself is smooth and stable, and the certified instructors handle the setup and the tow. You're strapped in with a life jacket and safety gear before you leave the dock.
After you land, you move to the Jet Ski portion. Two travelers share one machine, so you're either driving or riding along for a 30-minute run across the turquoise water below the spot where you just flew. The Jet Ski is where the adrenaline shifts from visual to physical. You're controlling speed and direction across the Caribbean instead of watching it drift past. Both activities run back-to-back, and the whole outing takes about 90 minutes from start to finish.
You'll need to arrive at the marina directly. Transportation is not included. A marina and dock fee of USD $20 per person is payable when you check in. The instructors are bilingual in English and Spanish, and the activity is open to participants at least 10 years old. Parasailing weight limits can shift with weather and sea conditions, so the operator may adjust the flight if needed.
