You rise 260 feet above the sea, then drop back down to race it at full speed.

Parasail 260 feet above Cancun's Hotel Zone and Isla Mujeres in a 90-minute activity that pairs aerial views with a 30-minute jet ski ride across the Caribbean. You'll soar over the Nichupte Lagoon and turquoise waters, then take the controls of a powerful jet ski for the second half of your adventure. Bottled water and fuel surcharge are included.

The experience

Cancun's parasailing starts from the dock with a tow boat that pulls you up to 260 feet above the water. From that height you see the Hotel Zone, the Nichupte Lagoon, and Isla Mujeres all at once: the whole curve of the coast spreads out below. The boat stays in radio contact the whole time, and the setup is built so you can control how much of the ride you want to spend in the air versus skimming the water on the way back down.

After you're back on the boat, you move straight into the jet ski portion. You get 30 minutes on one of the operation's powerful watercrafts, riding at full speed across the Caribbean. This is not a guided tour of the coastline. You're operating the machine yourself, so the pace and the route are yours to decide within the water zone they use. Bottled water is provided, and the fuel surcharge is already factored into the price.

The whole activity runs about 90 minutes from start to finish. A live guide speaks English or Spanish throughout, and the operation is set up for couples, friends, or families. Public transportation options are available near the dock if you're coming from elsewhere in Cancun.
