A two-hour paddleboard class in Holbox teaches you from the basics to advanced techniques in calm, shallow waters with a certified local instructor. The class includes hotel pickup, all equipment, a lifevest and bottled water. Instruction is available in English or Spanish, and children from age 3 are welcome.

The experience

Two hours is enough time to move from standing on the board to paddling with control, working in the shallow, protected waters off Holbox Island where the conditions stay calm. A certified local instructor meets you at pickup and stays with you throughout the class, answering questions and adjusting the pace to where you actually are, whether you've never stood on a board or you're refining your technique. The class is built around what you do, not what you watch: you're in the water learning, not observing from shore.

Hotel pickup is included, so you don't arrange transport to the launch point. The operator provides the paddleboard, lifevest and all the gear you need. You bring swimwear and a towel. Bottled water is on hand during the session. The instruction works in English or Spanish, and the class welcomes children from age 3 onward, so families can learn together or parents can take a class while kids join in at their own level.
