The experience

Canopy Costa Azul operates seven ziplines strung across canyons and cliffs in Los Cabos' corridor, about 10 minutes from San José del Cabo and 25 minutes from Cabo San Lucas. You start at the canyon base and hike gradually higher into the mountains, crossing back and forth between cliff platforms while soaring over 300 feet in the air. The route includes a swaying suspension bridge and a Tarzan swing designed for younger adventurers, then finishes with a rappel down a natural rock wall under expert guidance. No prior experience is required: instructors secure you before each launch and guide you through the rappel.

The whole circuit takes about three hours and involves roughly an hour of walking on outdoor mountain terrain with short hikes and uneven ground. Water is provided throughout. After you finish, the basecamp offers a complimentary tequila tasting where you'll learn about tequila-making, its history, and sample different varieties made using traditional methods. Lockers are available to store cameras, phones and loose items during the activity, since nothing that could fall is permitted on the lines.

Round-trip transport from most Los Cabos hotels is included, though the Drive & Fly option does not include shuttle service. Pickup times are assigned based on your tour selection.
