The experience
The Estrella de Puebla rises more than 80 meters in the middle of Sendela Park, a modern family space with gardens, fountains, and a Venetian carousel (separate admission). You get picked up from your hotel or a designated meeting point, transported to the wheel, and given admission that skips the ticket line at the gate. The 54 gondolas turn slowly enough that you can stand and move inside each one, taking in the city layout below and the two volcanoes on the horizon when visibility is clear. The ride itself is the main event. Most visitors spend their two hours between the wheel and the park grounds below.
Sendela Park sits designed for families, so you'll see playgrounds, food vendors, and people using the outdoor space between rides. The wheel does not operate in heavy rain, but runs in all other weather. Infants sit on an adult's lap. Children need an adult with them at all times. If heights make you uncomfortable, this is not the product for you. The whole point is the altitude and the view it opens up.

Is this one for you?If you're staying in Puebla without a car, the included pickup and drop-off means you don't arrange separate transport to Sendela Park. The skip-the-line entry gets you onto the wheel without waiting at the gate, which matters on busy afternoons.
