The Experience
A 55-minute drive from the cruise port takes you through local farmland and into the canyons where Las Cañadas sits. You'll travel in a single air-conditioned vehicle with your group — no splitting across two cars — and the driver-guide can stop at places along the way if you want photographs or a quick visit to a taquería or viewpoint. The route itself is the introduction: you see how the land changes from the city outward.
Once at Las Cañadas, you strap into a harness and helmet and move through the canopy on 5 zip lines that run through trees and over a lake. Between the lines, you cross 5 suspension bridges — each one a different test of nerve and balance. The operator provides all the equipment and stays with your group throughout, so there's no fumbling with gear or wondering if something is rigged right. Water and sodas come with you, and there's a viewpoint built into the route where you can stop and shoot photographs before moving on.
The whole outing runs about five hours from pickup to return. Your group stays intact the entire time, which means no one is waiting in a van while others finish, and the driver knows exactly where everyone is. If someone in your party wants to sit out a bridge or a line, they can — the operator works around that. Children from age 1 can come along, though the zip lines and bridges themselves have a minimum waist measurement of 48 inches and a crotch measurement of 26 inches, so very small children will ride but not perform the activity.

Can I do the zip lines if I'm pregnant or have a heart condition?
The operator does not recommend this activity for pregnant travelers or for travelers with poor cardiovascular health. If you have either condition, check with your doctor before booking, and contact the operator directly to discuss your situation before committing to a date.
Do I need to bring my own harness and helmet, or are they provided?
All equipment is provided, including the harness and helmet. You don't need to bring or rent your own gear.
What happens if someone in my group doesn't want to do the zip lines or the bridges?
The operator can work around that — if a family member wants to sit out a line or a bridge, they can stay behind while others in the group continue. You all travel together in the same vehicle, but participation in each activity is flexible.
Does the price include a stop at a restaurant or a viewpoint for photos?
The driver-guide can stop at places of interest along the route — restaurants, taquerías, pharmacies, viewpoints — at no extra cost. These are optional stops you request, not automatic parts of the itinerary, so you decide whether to use them.
What's the difference between the purchase options — zip lines only, zip lines and horses, and the other combinations?
The operator offers four options at checkout: the zip lines alone; zip lines plus a horseback riding segment; a combination with both zip lines and horses plus an additional activity; and one more variant. Choose the option that matches what your group wants to do that day.
