The experience
The day starts with a 45-minute air-conditioned shuttle from the port to Las Cañadas Campamento. Once you arrive, a professional guide walks you through a safety briefing and the basics of operating the ATV before you ever leave the grounds. A short 15-minute practice ride around the campground lets you get the feel of the machine and build confidence.
Then you head out to the dedicated 10-kilometer off-road track. The route takes you through uphill climbs, downhill descents and curves across diverse terrain, not beach riding, but real backcountry. Just before the track ends, you stop at Mirador de Las Palmas for panoramic views of the landscape. The riding itself runs roughly an hour. Your guide leads the way throughout, and everyone operates at a pace that works for their skill level.
One ATV carries either one driver or one driver plus one passenger (ages 3–13). The weight limit is 220 kilograms combined, whether that's one heavier rider or two lighter ones. You get a safety helmet, and the guide speaks English or Spanish. Lockers are available for your belongings. Campground admission is included for the ATV activity and restrooms only. Other facilities like pools and paddle boats are separate.
