Four reef stops and a natural pool full of manta rays, all in one morning.

El Cielo Cozumel is a private snorkeling boat tour for 1 to 7 people visiting four reef sites and a natural pool in about 3 hours. The boat departs from Playa San Francisco Beach Club with snorkeling equipment, a professional guide in English or Spanish, and fresh snacks and drinks prepared onboard. Infants sit on an adult's lap; the tour is not recommended for pregnant travelers.

The Experience

Playa San Francisco Beach Club is where your morning starts. The staff greets you with snorkeling gear, a float vest and a briefing before you board the private boat. The first two stops are Palancar Reef and Colombia Reef, both coral formations where you swim among multicolored fish and sea life. The third stop is El Cielo itself—the namesake of the tour and the place the operator calls the most beautiful in Cozumel, where you snorkel among hundreds of sea stars and have a chance to see sea turtles.

The fourth stop is El Cielito, a natural pool with water so clear you can see the bottom. Harmless manta rays swim through here, and this is where the crew sets out fresh food: ceviche, guacamole, tropical fruit, cold beer, soft drinks and purified water. You eat and drink on the boat between the reefs, not rushed, and the whole outing runs about 3 hours. The boat holds up to 7 people, so it stays small and maneuverable.

Before you leave, you have access to the beach club's pool, wi-fi, bathroom and shower. All rides run on local time, so confirm your booking time against Cozumel time before you book.
