Cabo San Lucas Private Yacht Snorkeling Small Group
A snorkeling guide meets you at the boat and shows you the main species around Pelican's Rock.
A private yacht snorkeling activity in Cabo San Lucas on a 32-foot Maxum 3200 boat holds up to 6 people and includes a snorkeling guide at Pelican's Rock, hotel pickup, and an open bar with drinks and snacks. The boat visits the Arch of Cabo San Lucas, Lover's Beach and the Sea of Cortez. A live guide speaks English and Spanish. Whale watching runs December 15 to March 31 only.
Step-by-step itinerary
Private yacht tour and snorkeling
- See The Arch of Cabo San Lucas
- Visit Lover's Beach and San Andres cave
- Snorkel at Pelican's Rock with guide
- Whale watching in the Sea of Cortez
The Experience
The boat leaves from Cabo San Lucas and heads to the main landmarks first—the Arch of Cabo San Lucas for photos, then Lover's Beach and the cave of San Andres. From there you move toward Pelican's Rock, where the snorkeling guide takes over and shows you the main spots and species in the water. You get time in the water with a paddle board and floating mat, and the whole trip runs three hours.
Drinks and appetizers are on board the whole time—mini baguettes, fish ceviche, tortilla chips and salsa on the snorkeling tour; mini baguettes and a cheese board on the sunset option. The bar stocks water, juice, tequila, rum and beer. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included. Bring sunscreen, towels, a bathing suit and sandals; cash for tips is separate.
The boat holds a maximum of 6 people, which is what keeps it private. You choose between a snorkeling tour, a sunset tour, or whale watching (December 15 to March 31 only). A live guide speaks English or Spanish.

What will I actually see when we snorkel at Pelican's Rock?
Pelican's Rock is a snorkeling site in the Bay of Cabo San Lucas where the guide shows you the main species and spots in the water. The exact marine life depends on the season and conditions, but the guide knows the area and directs you to the best viewing spots.
Is hotel pickup included in all three options?
Hotel pickup and drop-off are included. The three options are snorkeling, sunset, or whale watching (seasonal December 15 to March 31), and pickup applies to the option you choose at checkout.
What happens if I want to do the whale watching tour but it's not whale season?
Whale watching operates only from December 15 to March 31, during the official migration period. Outside those dates, the snorkeling or sunset options are available instead.
Are drinks and food the same on all three tour options?
The snorkeling tour includes mini baguettes, fish ceviche, tortilla chips and salsa. The sunset tour includes mini baguettes and a cheese board. Both come with an open bar of water, juice, tequila, rum and beer. Whale watching inclusions follow the same pattern as one of the other two options.
What water equipment do I need to bring, and what's provided?
Snorkeling gear, a paddle board and a floating mat are all provided on board. Bring your own sunscreen, towels, bathing suit and sandals; the boat does not supply those.
