The experience

Every trip into the Sea of Cortez is different. You head out with a bilingual guide to hunt for whales, orcas and other marine life, then get in the water to snorkel alongside them. The guides use their experience to find the best encounters each day: sometimes it's whale watching from the boat, sometimes you're in the water with the animals themselves. Safety is the priority. The guides follow industry best practices and brief you on what to expect before you enter the water.

All snorkeling equipment, fins and wetsuits are provided, along with a small lunch, snacks and refreshments during the 4.5-hour outing. At the end, you get a beer to relax with as you head back. If you want underwater and drone photos of the experience, you can add the photo package when you book. The operator brings an underwater camera and drone to capture it.

The operator donates 5% of profits to ocean conservation, so the money you spend supports the ecosystem you're visiting. Public transportation options are available near the departure point in San Jose del Cabo if you're staying in town without a rental car.
