The experience
The trip starts with a drive from Querétaro to the town of San Joaquín, where you eat lunch in a local kitchen and explore before heading to the campsite. The route crosses the Extoraz River (one of the state's most important waterways) to reach your destination. You sleep the first night in a 2-3 person tent that the staff sets up and maintains, positioned right next to the river.
On day two you wake to the sound of the water, have breakfast, and set out on an 8-kilometer hike to a waterfall tucked into the mountains nearby. The waterfall sits in a place few tourists reach. After the hike you return to camp for the night in the same tents. The operator provides all equipment, handles meals, and keeps a guide with you throughout. A live guide speaks English or Spanish depending on the group.
Everything related to the camp (tents, hammocks, meals, guides, photography support and first aid) is included in the booking. Pickup is arranged, and you need only show up ready to spend two days away from crowds and schedules.
