The experience
The catamaran departs from Pointe Jerome and sails into the lagoon's crystal-clear water, stopping for a snorkeling break where you'll see hundreds of bright-colored fish and coral reefs. Snorkeling equipment is provided, and the boat stays anchored while you're in the water. An open bar runs throughout the day, with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks included.
After snorkeling, the boat cruises into the canal between Ile aux Cerfs and the Anahita sanctuary, then heads to Grand River South East, the longest river in Mauritius, where a waterfall drops near the mouth. From there you reach Ile aux Cerfs itself: a white-sand island framed by turquoise water where you can swim, relax and walk the beaches. Lunch and snacks are served on board. The catamaran sails back to Pointe Jerome with an expected arrival around 4pm.
A guide speaks English and French throughout the day. The boat is air-conditioned, and the trip suits all fitness levels. Infants can travel on an adult's lap, and service animals are welcome. If you want to add activities like parasailing on the island, you can choose those at checkout.
