The experience
The boat leaves with a professional skipper who speaks English and knows which waters are clearest for swimming and snorkeling on any given day. You spend roughly three hours cruising Gozo's northern coastline: San Blas Bay with its golden-red sand, Dahlet Qorrot where octopuses shelter in underwater caves, Ramla Bay backed by red cliffs and Mixta Cave, Hondoq Bay for cliff diving, and smaller coves like San Filep Bay and Zewwieqa. Each stop is yours to shape: stay an hour or twenty minutes, swim to shore or snorkel from the boat, rest in the shade of the sun canopy or move on. The skipper carries mask and snorkel gear, an ice box to keep drinks cold, and Bluetooth speakers if you want music while anchored.
After Gozo, the route turns toward Comino and its satellite islands. The Blue Lagoon is the famous turquoise strip between Comino and Cominotto, but the boat anchors in the bluest section, away from the ferry terminals where day-trippers cluster. You can swim in the main lagoon or explore the secluded sandy beach inside Cominotto, which has a natural cave tunnel running through the island. The Crystal Lagoon sits on the opposite side of Comino: quieter, accessible only by boat, ringed by limestone cliffs high enough for cliff diving if you want it. Nearby are the Santa Marija Caves on Comino's north coast, a filming location for The Count of Monte Cristo, with hidden sea tunnels and rock formations for snorkeling.
The entire itinerary is yours to reshape. Want to skip the Blue Lagoon crowds and spend the afternoon at Dahlet it-Hmara, a secluded cove on Comino's north shore? Tell the skipper. Prefer to linger at Hondoq Bay or explore the reefs where marine life breeds? The tour adapts. Entry to Halfa National Park and all marina fees are covered. Bring your own food or the boat can stop at a marina for lunch. Fuel costs €139, paid directly to the skipper on the day. If the standard departure times don't suit your schedule, contact the operator in advance and they'll work to accommodate a different start.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the difference between the Blue Lagoon and Crystal Lagoon on this tour?
The Blue Lagoon is Comino's famous turquoise beach between Comino and Cominotto, busy with day-trippers from ferries, but the private boat anchors in the bluest, clearest section away from the crowds. The Crystal Lagoon sits on Comino's opposite side, accessible only by boat, surrounded by dramatic limestone cliffs and far quieter. It's also a spot for cliff diving if you want the jump.
Can I visit San Blas Beach on this tour, and what's there?
Yes, San Blas is on Gozo's northern coast and one of the stops. It's difficult to reach by land, so it stays untouched and peaceful. The beach has golden-red sand and crystal-clear water. A small kiosk on shore serves dried calamari, a local specialty. You can swim to the beach or stay on the boat and enjoy the view.
How much time do I spend snorkeling versus cruising?
The boat spends roughly three hours cruising Gozo's coastline with stops for swimming and snorkeling at bays like Dahlet Qorrot, Ramla Bay and Hondoq Bay. After that, you move to Comino for the Blue Lagoon, Crystal Lagoon and caves. How long you stay at each stop is entirely up to you. The tour is fully customizable.
What snorkeling gear and sun protection are included?
Mask and snorkel gear are provided. A sun canopy covers part of the boat so you can rest in shade between swims. You'll also have an ice box with ice to keep drinks and snacks cold throughout the six hours.
Is there a guide who explains the sites, or just the skipper?
The experienced skipper speaks English and provides local insights about the bays, caves and marine life as you cruise. He navigates to the clearest waters and knows the best snorkeling spots, but the focus is on your own exploration rather than a narrated tour.
What happens if I want a different departure time than the scheduled options?
Contact the operator in advance with your preferred time, and they'll do their best to arrange a departure that fits your schedule. Standard times are offered, but flexibility is available if you ask before booking.
