From there the route moves through the island's landmarks—the Ggantija Temples (built in the Prehistoric Era), the red sandy beach at Calypso Cave, the Gozitan Citadel in Victoria where locals sheltered during the Ottoman siege, and the Xlendi Cliffs on the southern coast. The guide stops you at each one long enough to walk around and take photos, so you are not just passing through.

Lunch is a cold buffet at Mariblu Guest House, where free wine and water come with the meal (legal drinking age is 17). After eating, the tour continues past the Xewkija Church, through Dwejra (where a small boat trip is available at extra cost), and by the Ta Pinu Sanctuary. You'll see the traditional salt pans where locals still harvest sea salt from seawater, then stop for a short swim in Xwejni Bay before the longer swim stop in Comino—45 minutes to swim or walk the beach. The return to Malta closes the day.
